FROM A FARM.

Dear Aunt Hilda,—l think everybody should be kind to animals. I live on a farm, and we have twelve cows, two horses and one pig. If you are kind to the cows and give them plenty of hay in the winter time and put warm covers on them, they will give more milk. If you are gentle with horses you can make them work better. I notice when we put fresh hay in the sty for the pig to lie on, if it is a cold night, he burrows underneath it to keep himself warm. Clifford O’Connor (Kaiapoi).
