RABBIT BREEDERS.

The monthly meeting of the Co-opera-tive Rabbit Breeders' Association of New Zealand (Inc.) was held this week, Mr W. G. Wright presiding. Sixteen new members were elected. The treasurer (Mr G. Cowan) reported on the association’s financial position, and stated that the year’s suoscription was due. The show secretary (Mr A. Lawrence) reported that the following judges had been appointed? for the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Show:—Angoras, Messrs A. Smart and L. Boughen; fur breeds, Messrs A. Lawrence and H. Mazey. Mr J. E. Archer reported that several members of the executive had visited Timaru recently, where a lecture on “ Angora Rabbit Farming the World Over ” had been given by the president. A branch of the association had been formed in Timaru with Mr A. FricPd chairman and Mr Dunne, jun., secretary. A newladies’ social committee was appointed, and it was decided to hold socials regularly in the future, the first to be on Wednesday, November 15, in the club rooms, Hereford Street. The convener of the Library Committee (Mr Judkins) reported that the library was being well patronised, and that several new books had been addled. An instructive lecture on “ Growing Green Food For Rabbits ” was given by Mr H. A. Dawber. A vote of thanks was accorded the speaker.
