W. H. JOVBB &EPSIHAVDZS. The stipendiary stewards considered interference l*y W. H. Jones, rider of Palantua, in the New Zealand Cup, with Ramo, ridden by A. Russell, about a furlong from the winning post. After hearing the evidence of the two riders, the stewards reprimanded Jones for not having kept his mount under proper control. SZCCABTOV RACES. L. Powell in 64, A. Hooper in 25, extras 10). At 4 p.m. Sydenham had scored 125 runs for the loss of four wickets in their first innings against Lancaster Park. At 4 p.m. St Albans, in reply to West Christchurch’s first innings total of 495 for six wickets, had made 110 for nine (H. Armstrong 28, J. Mayo 27, L. C. Lindley 13, E. Pearce 22). East Christchurch were, at 4 p.m., all out for 144 runs in their first innings against Old Boys (R. W. Coupland 55, 11. Davis 26). AUCKLAND RACES.
