MENTAL DEFECTIVES.

Mrs T. E. Taylor’s Second Lecture. Mrs Roberts presided at the monthly meeting of the National Council of Women, held in the Chamber of Commerce. Delegates from many women's societies were present. The Dominion secretary advised that the conference would be held in April as previously arranged. The secretary of the committee of Auckland secondary schools asked support for specific reform for films shown in the picture theatres. The president welcomed Mrs Carnachan, of Auckland (Dominion president), and Miss Stubbs (South Canterbury president).
