R.S.A. DEBATING CLUB.

The standard of general knowledge was proved to be high among member* of the R.S.A. Debating Club last Tuesdav evening, when a questionnaire was held. Out of 150 questions only twentyeight remained unanswered. Information came from unexpected quarters though simple questions sometimes remained unanswered. No correct reply was given to the question " What is a knot? ” the answers invariably being b measure of distance instead of a measure of speed. Mr M’Diamid was in the chair and the questioner Mr Colin Milne, rt was a most successful evening and members absorbed information that ordinarilv would have taken years to acquire. Next Tuesday evening will be a members’ evening, friends being cordially invited.
