Rickard. on behalf of twelve importers of radio sets from the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States. It was urged as desirable that sets‘ from Empire sources should be admitted free of duty and those of foreign origin should be subject to a 25 per cent duty. It was pointed out. that as there were no fundamental diflerenocs between the parties concerned it had been agreed in the interests of trade and broadcasting that the unanimous views of importers should be placed before the Commission.
