DANCE AT PAPANUI.
Rugby Football Club’s Annual Ball. The annual ball of . the Papanui Rugby Football Club was held ac the Memorial Hall on Labour Day night, when over 300 dancers attended. The hall was specially decorated with balloons and the stage and alcoves with ferns. Ranunculi set off the supper tables. The committee responsible lor the success of the evening was: Mr R. Rickerby (president), Mr J. Fantham (chairman), Mr E. W. Worsdell (secretary), Mesdames Worsdell, Bielby, Blackmore, Tully, Quirk, Smallbon and Spiers. The guests of the evening were Mr Y. L. Jensen (C.R.U.), Mr and Mis L. Coutts and Mr and Mrs H. Reeves. Messrs W. Joy and G. Bayliss were M.C.’s. The music was supplied by the Bailey-Marston Orchestra, and Mr F.
