REEFTON ACTIVITIES.
(Special to the “ Star.”) REEFTON, October 25. Mr E. S. Clarke left for Greymouth this morning in charge of a party of boys from the Reefton District High School. They will be competitors at the inter-school sports, to be held at Greymouth. Miss Hilda Mitchell is at present on a visit to Christchurch. Mrs Ashley, who has been visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs W. Mitchell, has returned to Blenheim. Miss A. Patterson has returned to Reefton from a brief holiday spent in Blenheim. Reefton Athletic Club. The Reefton Athletic Club has decided to hold its first evening sportsmeeting on November 8. The running and cycling track is in much better order this year and will be brought into condition with a minimum of work. The New School. The Hon R. Masters has advised the secretary of the Reefton District High School Committee that he will be in Reefton on November 13 to lay the foundation stone of the new school. The Old Pupils’ Association will hold its first reunion dinner on that date, to be followed by a dance in the bandroom.
