PERSONAL ITEMS.

Mr and Mrs H. Wooff, Christchurch, are staying in Blenheim. Mrs G. Lambert. Christchurch, who has been staying in Blenheim, has returned home.

Mrs R. W. Anderson, Colombo Street, has returned from a holiday spent at Hanmer Springs. Dr Eleanor Baker-M’Laglan has returned to Christchurch after staying at Beverley House, Timaru.

Miss Whiting, who has been staying in Blenheim, has returned to Christchurch.

Mr and Mrs R. O. Duncan and their son lan will leave Christchurch tonight on their return trip to London. Miss Anne Deans, Kirkstyle, is staying with Miss Phillipa Acland, Park Terrace.

Mrs C. Thornton, Whareora Terrace, Cashmere, is paying a short visit to the West Coast. Mrs Ernest Robinson, Fendalton, is the guest of Mrs Featherstone, Ngaio, Wellington. Miss Jean Drearer, Dunedin, is spending a holiday with Mrs A. L. Gray, Puriri Street, Riccarton.

Mrs 11. F. W. Meikle, the Mayoress of Devonport, is visiting her daughter, Mrs R. A. Boulton, “ Hilltop Farm,” Darfield.

__ Miss Peggy Loughnan, Lower Hutt, is spending a holiday with her grandfather. Mr H. O. Devenish Meares, Park Terrace. Miss Norah Crawshaw. Dunedin, who is visiting Mrs M. M’Leod, Knowles Street, will go on to the North Island before returning home. Miss Joan Bristow, Hackthorne Road, will return from Waikari next week. She will spend a few days in Christchurch before going north. Mr and Mrs Edwin Milnes, Fendalton. who have been on a visit to England, will return to New Zealand by the Rangitikei, which is due in Wellington about October 25. Mrs Mabel K. Clark and Mr Gunnell Clark, of Cashmere, who have been touring England by car, are now touring Scotland and are contemplating a visit to the Continent.

Miss G. Thomson, formerly of Opawa, who has been living in Wellington and Napier, returned to Christchurch yesterday, and is staying with Mrs G. M. Ollivier, “ Glenelg,” Murrav Aynsley Hill.
