SOCIAL AT REDCLIFFS.

St John’s Methodist Sunday School. A pleasant evening was spent on Tuesday at St John's Methodist Church, Redcliffs, as a conclusion to the anniversary celebrations of the Sunday School. Mr A. Bains, who read the annua] report, commented on the school’s success during the past year, especially in the recent examinations conducted by the Sunday School Union, the junior gold medal, six prizes and the B shield having been gained. The financial statement, which was given by Miss Nancy Holden, showed a good credit balance. The chairman, the Rev A. E. Patchett, presented the prizes to the children. An enjoyable entertainment followed, the programme for which had been arianged by Miss Evelyn Le Page. The items were:—A nursery rhyme fantasie, junior scholars; elocutionary items, Miss Betty Biown, Miss Margaret Hollobon anrl Mr G. Brown: musical items, Misses White. .Janet Brown, Clarice Donkin and Nancy Holden; humorous sketch. Misses Janet Brown and Evelyn Le Page. Mr A. I Holden, on behalf of the parents and friends, made a presentation to the superintendent, MFs G. Brown, as a token of appreciation of her work among the children.
