Girls and Cricket.

Dear Sir, —•“ One of Their Coaches ** defends the girl cricketers. He says he is an old cricketer. It is a dangerous age and it is very nice that he appreciates their sportiness —the sportier the better. But—can they play a game anything lika cricket except that they use the samd> kinds of bats and balls? A girl with the pen-name “ Men Be Manly ” defends the shape of their legs. Well and good! That s the proper spirit. Girls should be proud of their legs anrL all that I ask is that thev shall not be prerod of their cricket. Forget cricket, girls. The game is in a parlous enough state without vou making it sillier. —I am, etc., GIRLS BE GIRLS.
