CONVERSION LOAN.

Prospectus for N.Z. Scheme Issued. INTEREST REDUCTION. United Press Absn.—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright. (Received October 4, 12.50 p.m.) LONDON, October 3. The New Zealand loan prospectus has been issued. The list opens and closes on Thursday. The final instalment of 45 per cent is payable on January 10, 1034. The maturing 5 per cent loan will be repaid on January 16, 1934. The “ London Daily Telegraph’s ” city editor says that the New Zealand loan terms are a just appreciation of the Dominion’s credit standing. New Zealand enjoyed a high reputation as a borrower, and the firm attitude of her Government towards certain corporations who sought to escape their obligations in London would inspire fresh cnfidence. An earlier message stated that a New Zealand conversion loan of £5.000,000 at 34 per cent, to be issued at 97 and redeemable in 1949-54, had been underwritten to replace the £5,000,000 issue at 5 per cent, 1932-4.
