Roosevelt Plan.
Labour Offers its Support. ASSURAN'CE that if the Prime Minister made any attempt to launch the Roosevelt plan in New Zealand on his return from America, the leader of the Labour Party, Mr H. E Holland, M.P., would assist him to put it into operation was given by Mrs Elizabeth M'Combs at her meeting in the Woolston School last night. Mrs M'Combs briefly outlined the Roosevelt plan, and then read a newspaper clipping which credited Mr Forbes with having expressed the fullest approval of the scheme when speaking at Chicago. She added that Mr Coates had recently announced that he had received a cable from Mr Forbes saying that not too much notice shoulcf.be taken of newspaper reports from America.
