PRENN NOT WANTED.
Poland Refuses His Request to Play for Her. United Press Assn.—By Electrle Telegraph—Copyright. (Received August 29, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, August 28. The Warsaw correspondent of “ The Times ” says that Prenn’s request to represent Poland in tennis on the grounds of his Polish birth, has been refused by the Polish Lawn Tennis Association because hitherto he has refused to play for Poland and also abandoned his Polish nationality to become a German in 1932. Prenn was refused a place in Germany’s Davis Cup team because of his Jewish blood, but went to Paris and played there independently in the French championships.
