CAR PARKING PROBLEM.

Now that motor-cars may not be parked in Gloucester Street between Cambridge Terrace and Montreal Street from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., officials of the Returned Soldiers’ Association are wondering whether they mar be classed as residents of the street, their visitors or servants, to whom an exemption applies. The matter was discussed in those terms at the meeting last evening, and even the possibilities of a test case were mentioned. Eventually the matter was held over pending an opinion from the honorary solicitor. This apparently closed the argument, but it was opened informally on the footpath when the meeting dispersed, for the reason that a liberal inspector had dispensed “ sticker* ” on official*’ cars, apparently when the matter was under ‘consideration.
