OBITUARY.

James M’Vicar. Mr James M’Vicar, who died at the Christchurch Hospital recently, was born at Stafford. Hokitika.' He was in the employ of the Public Works Department at Bealev Flat when war broke out and lae enlisted with the 3rd Tunnelling Corps. N.Z. Engineers. Leaving New Zealand with the Fourth Reinforcements, he served till the completion of the war. On his return he worked on the Otira tunnel, being one of the party who put in the last block. Afterwards he was transferred to the North Island. For the last five vears he had been in ill-health and had not been able, to follow his occupation. \
