DEATH OF CYCLIST.
Sequel to Collision With Motor-car. INQUEST OPENED. Mr J. A. Williams, who was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital on Satur. day- evening suffering from head injuries and a fracture of the right arm, died at 12.40 o’clock this afternoon. Mr Williams was riding a cycle when he was involved in a collision with a motor-car at the corner of Ollivier’s Road and Tuam Street. The driver of the car was Mr B. J. Muir, of 183, Ollivier's Road. Mr Williams, who was a married man and resided at 13, Stevens Street, was in a satisfactory condition on Sunday', but he subsequently took a turn for the worse. An inquest into the death of Mr Williams was opened by the Coroner, Mr E. D. Mosley, at 2 p.m. After formal evidence of identification had been heard, the inquest was adjourned sine die.
