When the field in the Introductory Handicap were let go, Grand Triumph and Worth y Kate broke. Along the back Mountain Sun was in charge and led into the straight from Manna’s Son r Qrand Triumph, ‘Gala Day and Young Rodney. Holding his own in the run home, the favourite won easily by four, lengths from Young Rodney, with Manna’s Son half a head away. Grand Triumph, Gala Day (the second favourite), Wiriwhata, Golden . Huia and Mattie Herbilwyn were next. A Narrow Win. Jq the Aft Eden Handicap money came for Kia Kaha, Jester and Bingen Chief. Hukanui and Anthony's Gift stood T on the mark and took no part in the race. Turning for home, jester was showing the way to Kia Kaha and Bonnie Direct. Then came Lislea and Ring True. Bonnie Direct came fast on the outside over the last furlong and got up to beat Jester by a head with Ring True a neck away.. Kia Kaha was fourth, followed by Nellota, Lislea, Worthy Chief, Bingen Chief, Peter Junior and Student Prince. Decisive Victory. Best backed in the August Handicap were Peter Pirate and Prince Pedro. Kewpie’s Guy lost ground at the start. Peter Pirate led into the straight from Prince Pedro with Kewpie’s Guy and Great Parrish on terms a few lengths away. Then came Kewpie’s Triumph. Great Parrish finished fast, but had no chance with Peter Pirate, who beat him bv three lengths and a half with Kewpie’s Triumph a neck away. Prince Pedro and Kewpie’s Guy were next. Onehunga Handicap. In the Onehunga Handicap, Silver Bingen ran up fast crossing the top and was second to Guid Hairst turning for home,, with Manco and Stanmoor following. In the run home, Guid Hairst bored over on to Silver Bingen, to win by half a head, with Lady Coronado four lengths away third. 4 Kelp was fourth. Then came Realty, Stanmoor, Tempo and Manco (second favourite) last. After the race, the stewards placed Silver Bingen first and Guid Hairst second ofi account of boring on the part of GuUi Hairst. Moko Bells Wins. In the Royal Oak Handicap Parrish Belle led into the straight from Moko Bells, Explosion, Billy Carbine and Moko Girl. Billy Carbine finished fast on the rails, but Moko Bells stayed on to get the verdict by half a length from Explosion with Billy Carbine three-quarters of a length away. Parrish Belle was fourth. Then came Etta Cole, Moko Girl and Windchat. Times—3min 37 3-osec, 3min 32 3min 38 4-osec. Grey Lynn Handicap. In the Grey Lynn Handicap the order into the straight was May Chenault, Red Hope, Whakahihi, Donee and Wee Parrish. Once in line fir the judge Red Hope drew out and beat May Chenault by two and a half lengths, with Whakakihi a head away. Donee was fourth, with Wee Parrish, Betterwin and Stormy Mack following. Meeting Abandoned. Per Press Association. BLJSNHEIM, August 26. Owing to poor nominations the Marlborough Racing Club has abandoned next month's meeting.
