TANKER STRANDED.
Strange Mishap in Otago Harbour. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, August 26. Owing, it is stated, to a steering-gear defect, the Norwegian tanker, Ranella, when leaving port for Balik Papan swerved from Victoria Channel and stranded on a sand bank. She is believed to be undamaged and should get off at high tide this evening. I
