Sale of Wheat.
Position of “Free” Mills Discussed. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, August 25. THE QUESTION of selling wheat to “ free ” mills was again raised at today's meeting of the Southland executive of the Farmers’ Union, and a majority of members were agreed that the Wheat Purchase Board’s restrictions were not justified. A resolution presented by the Grain and Seeds Committee was carried as follows: “ That in the opinion of this executive there was no justification for the Wheat Purchase Board restricting the sale of wheat to mills, and this executive urges upon the board the urgent necessity of immediately removing all restrictions (excepting as to price) upon the sale of wheat to flour mills,”
