Further Results of Aorangi Meeting. (Special to the “Star.”) THE HERMITAGE, August 25. There was a foot of newly fallen snow well covering all the rocks when the Aorangi ski championship meeting was continued in brilliant weather today. Conditions caused the postponement of the downhill championship race, which is to be run from the Ball Pass to the glacier below. To-day the running was done on the slope below the hut, and when the snow was hardened the track became a fast one. With reasonable weather conditions it should be excellent for the New Zealand championship meeting on Tuesday. Xnter-Club Relay. The inter-club relay provided a great race. The arrangements were good and the six teams competing put on a fast

and spectacular contest. The clubs racing were the Tasman, Christchurch, Otago, Aorangi and WindwhistleT' Ski Clubs and the Canterbury Winter Sports Club. The race was run in two heats of three, the second team in the fastest semi-final qualifying for the final. Results were:— FIRST HEAT. Tasman, 56 l-ssec 1 Aorangi, 56 2-ssec 2 Canterbury Winter Sports Club .... II SECOND HEAT. Christchurch, 69sec l Otago, 70 2-ssec 2 Wind whistle 3 FINAL. Tasman, 63 2-ssec I Christchurch, 63 4-ssec 2 Aorangi 3 The winning team comprised H. H. Elworthy, L. V. Bryant, Miss P. BoydWilson and Miss P. Wlgley.

Novice Slalom. The Novice Slalom events were run on Trursday afternoon on a good course below the hut, with a drop of 150 ft over 300yds run. Palling snow was not allowed to hold up the arrangements. Results were:— MEN’S NOVICE SLALOM. F. Drewitt (T.S.C.), 100 points 1 J. Swan (0.5. C.), 99.69 points 2 C. Straubel (C.S.C.), 97.93 points .. 3 Six others competed. WOMEN'S NOVICE SLALOM. Miss G. Digby, 100 points 1 Mil's P. Boyd-Wilson, 99.16 points .. 2 Miss E. Partridge, 94.79 points .... 3 The course was the same as run by the men. Two others competed. The Ribbon Race was won by Mrs V. Williams and W. B. Myhre. with Miss P. Boyd-Wilson and H. Wigley second and Mrs Richards and Dr O. H. Frankel third.
