SECOND ANNUAL BALL.

Members of Court Thistle, A.O.F. The second annual ball of Court Thistle of the Forest, A.0.F., held recently in the Carlyle Street Hall, proved an outstanding success. The music was supplied by Les Kinsman’s orchestra and an extra was played by Mr L. M’Kenzie. Novelty dances were won by Mrs E. Chappie and Misses E. Terris and P. Round, Messrs E. Chappie, G. H. Rodmell and Hill. The arrangements for the evening were in the hands of a committee of members of the Court and their wives and the success of the gathering was due to their energy and efficiency. Among the many visitors present were representatives from the Canterbury United District and the following Courts: Star of Canterbury, Queen of the Isles, Woodford, Papanui, Star of Dunsandel, Star of Belfast and Queen of Canterbury, also from the Oddfellows’ and Druicfs' orders.
