VESSEL AGROUND.

Titoki on Sandbank at Tauranga. Per Press Association. TAURANGA, August 24. The Union Company’s Titoki, from southern ports, ran aground on a sand bank inside the harbour at about ten o'clock last night. She was unable to refloat. The Northern Company's Motu attempted to tow her off this morning, but was unsuccessful. The Titoki has a small cargo of produce and also a number of hardwood poles for the Tauranga Power Board. The poles will be unloaded and another attempt to refloat the vessel made on the next tide.
