CROSSING SMASH.

Two Persons Injured by Train. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, August 24. A serious railway crossing accident occurred near the Matamata railway station yesterdy, when a collision occurred between a motor-car and the north-bound Auckland-Rotorua express. The two occupants of the car, James Milne, 27 years of age, a Government herd testing officer, of Whangarei, and his wife, Ruby Milne, 29, were injured. Mrs Milne received injuries to her head, face and back, a fractured right arm, and severe shock. Her condition is critical. Mr Milne sustained abrasions. Mr and Mrs Milne were on their annual vacation.
