Sydenham Beat Canterbury. A friendly four-rink game was played last evening at the Tuam Street indoor bowling rinks between the Sydenham and Canterbury Bowling Clubs. The Sydenham Club won with 78 points, as against 75 obtained by the Canterbury Club. Results (Sydenham skips first) — Spearman 33, Mennott 7; Coote 15, Hagger 24: Coombes 14, Angus 27; Bott 16, Shaw 17. Christchurch Ladies’ Centre. The annual meeting of the Christchurch Badies’ Bowling Centre was held on Monday, Mrs W. W. Rowntree presiding. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mrs W. W. Rowntree; vice-president, Mrs C. E. Boon; elected member, Mrs Templeton; Match Committee, Mrs D. Dickson, Mrs Boon and Mrs Bambery; secretary and treasurer, Miss E. Blackham.
