Many Owners Fined by * Magistrate. For operating radio sets without licenses sixty-two owners were fined? by Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., to-day. The prosecutions followed recent inspections made by Post and Telegraph officials. The following cases were dealt with:— Fined £2 and costs, Jasper Sewell; 365, William Alfred Burgess, Benedict Francis Cunningham and William Donald Hayward; 20s and costs, Wilfred Bell, Sidney Arthur Burke, Hugh Argyle Fisher, Gordon Fraser, Elizabeth Mponald, William Millner, William Priest Ernest Leslie Ransley, Ernest Gray Roach, Edward Joseph Sisson and Elsie Wakefield; 15s, and costs, Frederick Douglas and William Oston Langdown; 10s and costs, John Edwin Bond, Henry Benjamin William Henry Cook, Herbert Ernest Cook, Duncan Noel Humm, Maurice George Eoulsson, William lan r' 1 - Ka y> James Frederick Mason, Thomas Lionel Millard, Agnes Bessie Mounsey. Henry John Otley, Walter Paton, George l engelley, Victor Melbourne Poninghouse, Elizabeth Skjellerup, Alexander Smart, Vivian John Somerset-Tliomas, Frederick John Sorenson, John French Southam.
