LEAGUE.
Replay of Junior Match Disallowed. The Management Committee of the Canterbury Rugby Football League met last evening, Mr Winter Cole presiding. A protest was received from the New Brighton Club against the alteration of the draw for the Vivian Cup matches last Saturday, which resulted in New Brighton having only two days’ notice to field a team, the club previously having had a bye. It was decided that in the event of the match having any effect on the final of the competition it should be replayed. The decision of the Junior Management Committee that the second grade game between Linwood and Sydenham should be replayed owing to the match having (exceeded the regulation time was reversed and the match awarded according to the result on Saturday.
