MAIREHAU SPORTS CLUB.

The- annual meeting of the Mairehau Sports Club was held on Saturday, Mr W. J. Walter presiding. The annual rteport and balance-sheet were adopted. The report stated that the club had experienced one of its quietest years of its existence, only five road races and several sweepstake races having been held, including the seventymile Mairehau club championship. The championship was won by H. J. Harper, of Christchurch, ami the handicap bv H. J. Crofts, also of Christchurch. mV P C. Lucas had been elected a life member in appreciation of his services. The balance-sheet showed expenditure £Ol 3s lid and receipts £4S 17s sd. leaving a debit balance of £2 5s sd.
