MUSICAL PROGRAMME.

Professor James Shelley presided at a meeting of members of the Society for Imperial Culture held in the Chamber of Commerce hall on Saturday evening. After listening to an address on "Modern Architecture” by Mr V. R. J. Hean, assistant City Architect, members were entertained by the presentation of the following musical programme:—Pianoforte solos. "Fantasie Impromptu in C sharp minor," "Elude. Op 30, No. 5" (Chopin), Aliss Elizabeth Tipping; vocal solos, "A Spirit Flower" (Campbell Tipton), •Phyllida” '(Howard Fisher). Air Ernest Rogers; vocal solos, "I Know a Lovely Garden" (Guy D. Hardelot), "A Brown Bird Singing" (Haydn Wood), Aliss Christobel Bowen. Aliss Betty Hannam was accompanist.
