Good Home and Continental Competition. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received July 19, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 18. At the wool sales 10,372 bales were offered, including 6387 bales of New Zealand wool, and about 8876 bales were sold. It was a fairly brisk sale, with good Home and Continental competition. Rates were mostly steadily maintained. Finer growths xt'ere firm. New Zealand lots sold as follows: — Scoured Merinos—Grays Hills (top price 24d), average 23!d. Greasy crossbred—Seafund (9ld), 62d. Half-bred —Montalto (15d), 143 d.
