PIONEER’S DEATH.

(Special to the “ Star") GREYMOUTII. July S The death occurred in Wellington last evening of Mrs Rebecca Hands, 92 years of age. Mrs Hands came to New Zealand from England in 1865, landing in Auckland. Later she resided in Wellington, and then came to Westport, where she lived for many years, until the death of her husband. Later she resided in Greymouth for fifteen years and was well known for her work in connection with Trinity Church. Mrs Hands is survived by one son and five daughters, one of whom is Mrs A. S. L. Armstrong, of Cowper Street, Greymouth.
