CREMATION OR BURIAL.

To the Editor Dear Sir, — Regarding “ Winstonis’s ” letter T should prefer to see the modern folk keep to the old custom of burial of the dead. We do not want American glass jar methods here and roasting fumes in the air. We shall lay to rest from whence we came, and whilst upon this earth of trial, remember our Lord’s words: “I am the resurrection and the life, he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." May the resurrection take place at the grave rather than from glass jars. If “ Winstonis ” looks around our well-kept cemeteries and counts the number of friends and relatives who daily tend the graves of our loved ones, surely he will say the old folks’ way of placing away the dead of the earth will remain.—l am, etc., RITEA.
