RANGIORA SHOW.
Two Championship Awards Made. The North Canterbury Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Club’s annual showopened at Rangiora yesterday. Out of seven championships allotted by the South Island Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Association, only two were awarded, that for utility white Wyandottes being annexed by C. H. Harman with a pullet, and that for Norwich green, self or foul green canaries by H. Howarth. The club’s challenge trophy for the best bird in the show was won by a white self tumbler pigeon exhibited by C. A. Gallop. The W. T. Wilson Memorial Cup, which this year was allotted to the best bird in the open classes, was awarded to G. H. Nicoll, who benched an attractive Black Orpington pullet. This year the T. Loveday Memorial Cup was assigned to the canary section, and was won by J. A. Morris.
