New Zealands Were in steady request at the ten o'clock call at £2 7s 9d, but Commercials sold lower at 16s. Insurances and Government stocks were unchanged. In the mining section, buyers for Alexanders dropped out, and Waihis were easier with sellers at £1 Is Bd. A conference of Federal and State representatives yesterday discussed the wheat problem. It is understood that the Federal Government recommended that export be restricted for two years until the world's surplus is absorbed. Another proposal was a 10 per cent reduction, provided other wheat countries made equitable reductions and lowered their import duties. Mr Lyons promised to cable the resolution to Mr Bruce, and the Federal Cabinet will to-day discuss the resolution and Mr Bruce’s reply. GOLDEN SANDS. LTD.
