In a quarter-final of the European Zone of the Davis Cup contest, played at Eastbourne, Perry (England) beat de Morpurgo (Italy), 6-4, 7-5. Austin (England) beat de Stefani (Italy), 6-2, 7-5. 7-5. A message from Prague says that the Davis Cup European Zone quarterfinal there resulted in Czechoslovakia eliminating Greece.
