TIMARU SOCIAL NOTES.

Mr and Mrs W. Callender, Dunedin, are at present visiting Timaru. Miss Joan Maling, Christchurch, who was the guest of Miss Margery Gibson, Elizabeth Street, has returned home Dr and Mrs Drew, Chatham Islands, are at present visiting friends in Geraldine. Miss Hunter-Weston, Dunedin, who was the guest of Miss Simon Mackenzie, Otumarama, returned south yesterday. Mrs Andrew Guild, Strathe*arn, Temuka, who was staying with Miss Zeisler, Elizabeth Street, has returned to Ternuka. Mrs C. Hayter, Orbell Street, will leave at the end of the week to stay with Mrs Hayter, Rollesby, Burke’s Pass. Miss Wilson, Wellington, who has been staying with Miss Peggy Unwin, Church Street, will leave to-day for the north. Miss Helen Scott. Seddon Street, Ilighfield, who has been on a visit to her aunt, Miss Scott, Dunedin, has returned home.
