(Special to the "•Star.") HUNTLY, April IS The Renown. Rotowaro. Glen Alton and MacDonald mine's are idle to-day It is stated that the men refuse to resume work under present conditions. A meeting of the Northern Miners’ Dis- • trict Council has been held, and the secretary. Mr \Y. Davison, has written! to Mr T. O. Bishop, secretary of the i Mine Owners’ Association at Welling- ■ ton, and until a favourable reply is re- j ceived no work will be done at the four mines mentioned. Work is being carried on at the Pukemiro mine, as the men there are not members of the District Council
