Board Makes Offer to Private Operators. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 19. If private operators, or a combination of theifi, are prepared to take over the Auckland Transport Board's bus services, the board, as the licensing authority, will take out a license for them. This decision was made to-day after a discussion on a report showing that on the present year’s working, the board’s buses show a loss of fi 18,128. The excess of working expenses over revenue was £9512. The chairman said that no application to take over one bus service would be granted.
