TWO PARTIES FOR BRIDES.

A large gathering of friends was entertained recently at a pantry gift evening by Mrs W. S. Smith and Mrs H. C. Campbell at Mrs Campbell’s residence, Fisher Street, Beckenham, in honour of Miss Rona Heath, who is to be married shortly. Musical and .elocutionary items were given by Miss R. Heath, Miss Hopkins, Messrs G. Wilson and S. Sands, Miss I. Luney and Mr V. Campbell and an instrumental item was given by Miss Stace and Messrs Stace. Among those present were: Mesdames Campbell, Smith, Heath. Larson, Mintrom, Hammett, Baker, Connor, Robinson. M’Whirter, Hopkins, L. Thiele and Readman. Misses R. Heath, O. Heath, Larson. Cole. Fullwood Luney, M. Heath, T Boon T. Baker, O. Smith, F. Dobbs, L’ Dobbs. Hopkins. Campbell. Bellman and Stare. Messrs Campbell. Smith, Heath, Larson. L. Thiele, M’Whirter, Robinson, Wilson. Sands. Woods, A. King Readman, Gazzard, Baker, Owers, M introm. Gift Evening at Rangiora. Mrs Fred MTntosh, White Street, Rangiora, was hostess at a gift evening given in honour of Miss Olive Benjes, who is to be married shortly. The evening was devoted to competitions and dancing. A competition was won by Miss Olive Benjes and a lucky spot waltz was won by Miss Phyllis Benjes and partner. Among those present were: Mr and Mrs A. C. Benjes. Mr and Mrs Fred M Tntosh.
