Shipbuilding Increases in Britain. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received April 12, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, April 11. For the first time in three years shipbuilding activities in Britain present a more favourable aspect and work on 27,000 more tons is proceeding than during the three months ended March 31, representing the first quarterl> r increase since March 31, 1930. according to Llo\ r d's returns. Nevertheless the total of 252,401 tons under construction is 120,572 tons below the tonnage building a > r ear ago.
