There was keen competition In the mid-week opening matches yesterday. Airs L. Smith was the winner in the handicap competition and Airs Harding in the non-handicap section. The putting competition resulted in a tie between Airs R. Atk’nson and Mrs AV. Pa ton, ATrs Atkinson winning the play- _ Miss E. E. Sapsford and Aliss T. Knowles were the winners of the foursome for seniors and juniors.
