Methodist Minister Enters the Field. (Special to the “ Star.*’) DUNEDIN, April 8. The Rev E. T. Cox, M.A., a Methodist minister of Mornington, and formerly of Auckland, has announced his candidature for the city Mayoralty, making four candidates in all so far. Mr Cox explains he is standing because the City Council reduced its allocation for the unemployed. Wellington Nominations. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 8. The Labour Party is nominating fourteen candidates for fifteen seats on the City Council, and a full ticket for the Hospital and Harbour Boards. It has not yet decided whether or not to nominate a Mayoral candidate.
