COLLEGE RELAY RACE.

The annual relay race between the two University residential houses was held yesterday afternoon, when athletic teams from College House and Rolleston House met in a relay race at the Christ’s College grounds. A trophy in the form of a cup is presented to the winning team to be held for the ensuing year. Last year’s winners, Rolleston House, again succeeded in defeating College House, and retain, the cup for another year. The teams consist of six men, four of whom run 220yds and two 4 40yds. Mr A. E. Flower was the official starter and judge. At the conclusion of the race. Mrs Parr presented the cup to G. M. Tiffen, the Rolleston House captain. The teams were:—Rolleston House — Tiffen, Geddes. Fooks, Armstrong, Anderson and Milner. College House— Fieldes, Oldfield, Bentley, Duncan, Norris and Rolleston.
