WEDDING.
Richardson—Mullins. The wedding took place recently at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Gladys, eldest daughter of Mrs and the late Mr P. G. Mullins, and Wilfred, thiid son of the late Mr and Mrs W. Richardson, Lancashire, England. The Rev Father Timoney officiated and Miss O’Connor was at the organ. Pink and apricot flowers were used to decorate the church. The bride, who was given away by her eldest brother, Mr Charles Mullins, wore an ivory satin gown made on long, graceful lines. The little scalloped neck yoke was knotted in front and formed tie ends, and the sleeves, which were full at the elbow, had long, tight-fit-ting cuffs, trimmed with small buttons. Inset panels moulding the hips fell into the full flared skirt, which was ankle length. Her veil of tulle and lace was caught to her head with orange blossom and fell softly into a train. The bride was attended by one maid, Miss Ada Lucas, who wore a pink floral georgette frock with a shoulder cape. Pin-tucks trimmed the sleeves of the frock from elbow to wrist, and were also used on the front panel of the skirt, which was inset with pleated godets at the knee. Her wide, drooping felt hat was of the same shade as her frock, and her bouquet was composed of flowers in deeper shades of pink. The bride’s little niece, Ngaire Mullins, was flower girl. She wore a dainty frock of blue georgette patterned with pink rosebuds, made in the early Victorian style, with puff sleeves and frills at the hem of the skirt. Iler hat and posy were pink to tone with her frock. Mr Frederick Andrews was best man. A reception was afterwards held at Frascati. The bride’s mother wore a graceful black crepe de chine frock relieved with white, a black hat and a skunk fur necklet. She carried a bouquet of gold-shaded flowers. The bridegroom’s hostess also wore a black crepe de chine frock, trimmed in her case with pink, and a black hat. When the bride and bridegroom left later for the north, the bride wore a saxe blue manyarna frock under a coat of freize suiting in the same shade, and a small felt hat trimmed with plush.
