(Special to the ** Star."> HOKITIKA. April 7. The Westland Racing Club met las evening, there being present Messrs J J. M’lntosh (president), F. M'Gregoi H. Butland, T. J. Breeze, M. H. Hous ton, R. Whiley, A. W. Yarrall, H. T Parry and D. J. Evans. The secretary reported that entrie for the forthcoming meeting were beinj rceived in a very satisfactory manner Owing to the necessity for funds t< meet pressing liabilities, it was decidet to ask members to pay arrears of sub scription without delay, and also t< pay in advance where convenient.
