The Taste of Beer.
Correspondence .
To the Editor. Dear Sir, —Some friends of mine, discussing the drinking of beer, declare that after the third or fourth drink the taste of the beer changes and it acquires a very nutty taste. I have never found this to be so, but my friends were quite unanimous in stating it. Is this a fact? One friend suggested that the change in taste was due to some chemical action in the body', but I think this is very far-fetched. Can any of your readers throw light on the question ?, —I am, etc., AMBERITE.
