BUILDING SOCIETY.
Starr-Bowkett Local Agency. Starr-Bowett appropriations scheduled for March, include £IOOO by sale in Group 6 and £IOOO by ballot in Group 8. The latter group still has some shares available. Intending shareholders who join before March 21 participate in the ballot to be drawn on the same day. A local agency of this Dunedin Society is now being conducted in Christchurch by Messrs Pickles and Perkins, Public Accountants, Epworth Chambers, Hereford Street, from whom further information may be obtained. The cooperative building society principle, has, by the test of time, proved a sound investment and saving, and, to many, the securing of interest-free loans has been the only means of home-building.
