REPERTORY SOCIETY.
The Canterbury Repertory Society will open its 1933 season at the Radiant Hall to-night in presenting the one-act drama, “ Sicilian Limes,” by Luigi Pirandello, and the two-act comedy, “The Women Have Their Way,” by the Quintero Brothers. Both plays are of great Interest, the authors being of international reputation. It will be remembered that the Quintero Brothers were the authors of “ 100 Years Old,” which was one of the society’s most successful productions. On this occasion, however, they give comedy that concerns lovers in a provincial town, and this will be found to be very amusing. In “ Sicilian Limes,” Pirandello very cleverly depicts the case of an unwanted lover who has given up much for a woman’s sake. In both plays the Latin atmosphere has been treated as an important feature in presentation, while the costumes will be found to be in accord with traditional Spanish and Italian settings. The plays will be repeated on Monday. Box plan at The Bristol.
