Banker Discusses Problem of Unemployment.
LONDON, March 1. Mr F. C. Goodenough, chairman of Barclay's Bank, speaking at Birmingham, urged a conference with the Dominions to discuss unemployment and methods of mutual assistance. Governments, he said, should subsidise employment rather than unemployment on a strictly businesslike basis, ensuring a business return.
