SAFES BLOWN OPEN.

Cathedral and College Entered. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 7. The Wellington Girls’ College, Pipitea Street, and Saint Paul’s ProCathedral, Mulgrave Street, were entered by burglars on Monday night, the safes being blown open. From the college safe about £IBO was taken. The money was for the payment of accounts to-day. The Pro Cathedral safe door jammed, foiling the burglars. This safe contained little money, the banking being done on Monday morning.
